The three dioramas Paradossi dell’Abbondanza #62, #63, #64 (Paradoxes of Plenty #62, #63, #64) – part of the solo show Lotta per l’esistenza (Struggle for Existence) curated by Lorenzo Fusi at Arte Sella – focus on the devastation caused by Storm Vaia in the Alpine territories (2018). These works offer a reflection on destruction and regeneration, emphasising how the landscape is never neutral, but a living body traversed by different, often contrasting forces that react to every change by seeking new balances.
In Paradoxes of Plenty #62, a devastated landscape emerges through torn paper, trichloroethylene image transfers, and colors—blue and rust—that recall the hues assumed by Norway spruce during infestation. Trees laid horizontally evoke a suspended natural scene, steeped in death, from which hybrid flowers arise: generative presences that testify to nature’s resilience, affirming life even in rupture.
