The three dioramas Paradossi dell’Abbondanza #62, #63, #64 (Paradoxes of Plenty #62, #63, #64) – part of the solo show Lotta per l’esistenza (Struggle for Existence) curated by Lorenzo Fusi at Arte Sella – focus on the devastation caused by Storm Vaia in the Alpine territories (2018). These works offer a reflection on destruction and regeneration, emphasising how the landscape is never neutral, but a living body traversed by different, often contrasting forces that react to every change by seeking new balances.
In Paradoxes of Plenty #63, verticality returns in a fragile form: curved elements evoke a forest of trunks marked by the beetle’s presence. The bark becomes a surface for writing—traces etched by infestation and time. Bird figures, created through the fusion of different species, allude to ever-evolving identities and suggest a complex ecological dimension in which destruction and resistance coexist in a dynamic, interdependent relationship.
