The work created on the occasion of the Arte a San Leonardo artist residency, curated by Giovanna Amadasi, is a drawing of the 360-degree panorama of the mountains surrounding Tenuta di San Leonardo, a winery in the province of Trento with whose workers the artist conceived this work. The subtitle comes from an expression that the Scottish geologist James Hutton (1726–1779) used to refer to the time of geological transformations, represented here by the artist as an immense living organism in which cells, fossils, animals, roots, and organs are interconnected. The links in the composition are the violet-colored ramifications between the parts, achieved by using tartrate crystals. This substance is deposited at the edges of the barrels by the fermentation of wine and, thus, the element that records the transformations of matter that pass from the mountain to our bodies on the sheet.
